Syria and Iran, their conterfeit money laundering involvement and the drugs of the Bekaa Valley !

Iran and Syria are the center of a huge forgery and money-laundering operation that has dumped billions of dollars in fake U.S. currency in Middle-East and European Markets, according to sources.

Western diplomats say new details of operation reveal a web of inteique that includes the Syrian Intelligence, ultramodern printing hidden in the caves of the Lebanese mountains and plan by Islamic fundamentalists to destabilize western economies. Officials believ most of the dollars beiing counterfeited come from Lebanon's Bekaa Valley, which is controlled by Syrian troops.

U.S. officials, including former secretary of state Warren Christopher, have warned Syria and Lebanon of the magnitude of the problems.

The warning so far have produced few results.

Special congressional task force five years ago accused Syria and Iran of a massive conterfeiting campaign to alleviate their financial difficulties and pursue economic warfare against the west. But today's counterfeiting is said to be much larger from the Bekaa Valley. Using traditional drug trafficking routes and contacts, the counterfeit money is repportedly channeled to Cyprus, from there it goes to Europe and apparently the United States.

The revelations fly in the face of the denials carried last July by the Iranians media congressional task force report, which said that Tehran and Damascus have printed billions of dollars in counterfeit American 100 dollars notes to destabilize the U.S. economy. Moreover the French television report introduced a 50 year old Frenchman (identity obscured) who after ten years was allegedly at "the heart of the Syrian and Iranian terrorist networks" went to Tehran in 1986 and discovered this dollars counterfeiting money project. He is sure that decision was political and made by the Iranian and the Syrian governments.

Also, Syria and Iran are under close watch for their malevolent behavior. The task force director, Yossef Bodansky, has also uncovered the fact that Iran and Syria specialized counterfeiting U.S. dollars to finance their nuclear ambitions.Iran's religious right was also helping Pakistan with its nuclear program only to enable the latter to pursue its lethal objectives
