Democracy
Versus
Lebanon
A brief history,
definitions and comparisons.
In 1848, Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels published
The Communist Manifesto, one of the most famous political
documents ever written. It began with these words: “A specter is
haunting Europe. It is the specter of communism.” Today the Lebanese
Front published website begin with these words: “A specter is
haunting the world. It is the specter of democracy.” In recent
years, democratic forms of governments have emerged in Eastern
Europe countries that were formerly communist, in Latin American
countries that were controlled by military dictatorships, and in
South Africa, where apartheid denied basic rights to the black
majority. Yet despite this global move toward democracy, Lebanon,
the country of Saints, Monks and Monasteries, where Democracy was
born thousands of years ago, and where Christ used to take refuge
at, Left Wing, Communist and Terrorist groups are haunting Lebanon,
terrorizing the free Democrat Christian people by kidnapping,
killing, imprisoning, and sending patriots to the exile! Yet the
free world is not reacting or even trying to stop this savage human
tragedy!
Today, the term democracy takes its place
among terms like freedom, justice, and peace as a word
that seemingly has only positive connotations. Yet, the Republic of
Lebanon is suffering today from violations of freedom, justice and
peace.
Democracy involves choosing people from among our
midst to govern. In the Republic of Lebanon, the Syrians, our
invaders, are the ones involved in choosing people from among the
pro-Syrians, agents and traitors to govern Lebanon in a way that
best suit the Syrian needs and ambitions.
Democracy can be defined as a system of selecting
policymakers and of organizing government so that policy represents
and responds to the public’s preferences.
In the Democratic Lebanon, Democracy is defined
as a system of assigning policymakers and of organizing the puppet
government so that policy represents and responds to the Syrians and
Terrorists preferences
